By accessing or using Paws of Life AI ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our") at PawsOfLifeAI.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including pet owners, veterinary professionals, and any other individuals who access or use the platform in any capacity.
Paws of Life AI is an AI-powered veterinary health platform that provides educational pet health information, digital health record management, and practice management tools for veterinary professionals. The Service operates across three tiers:

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses based on veterinary and animal health information. AI responses are generated for educational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional veterinary care.

Paws of Life AI does not establish a veterinarian–patient relationship between you and the platform. The AI-generated content reflects general veterinary knowledge and should never replace:

Pro tier users who are licensed veterinary professionals remain solely responsible for all clinical decisions made in connection with their patients. AI-generated clinical information is intended as a reference tool only. The platform does not practice veterinary medicine and does not replace the professional judgment of a licensed veterinarian.
The Free Client Portal is activated by a veterinarian on behalf of their client at no cost to the pet owner. The portal does not include AI chat functionality. Continued availability of the Free Portal is contingent on the activating veterinarian maintaining an active Pro subscription.
Basic ($19/month) and Pro ($149/month) subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Annual plans are billed as a single payment at a 20% discount.
When offered, free trial periods convert automatically to paid subscriptions at the end of the trial. You may cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
If a payment fails, we will attempt to collect payment using alternative methods associated with your account. Access to paid features may be suspended until payment is resolved.
Pet owners may voluntarily grant their veterinarian read and write access to their account's pet health records. This access is entirely at the pet owner's discretion. The pet owner retains full ownership of their account at all times and may revoke vet access at any time through the Settings page.
When access is granted, the linked veterinarian may view and update pet health records, add clinical notes, and communicate via the platform's messaging tools. Vets may not alter account ownership, billing information, or subscription tier on behalf of a client.
Veterinarians using the Pro tier to activate client portals represent that they are licensed veterinary professionals in good standing. By onboarding clients, vets acknowledge that:

Conversations with the AI are stored to provide chat history functionality and may be used in anonymized form to improve our AI systems. You may delete individual conversations or your full conversation history at any time.

All content, design, AI systems, software, trademarks, and proprietary information comprising Paws of Life AI are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
You retain ownership of all content you upload or create within the platform, including pet health records, notes, and images. By uploading content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content to provide the Service to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paws of Life AI and its owners, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Cancellation ends future billing; access continues through the end of your current billing period.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. In cases of serious violation, termination may be immediate without refund.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.
Nothing in this section limits your right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
